About this Product

Castor oil has been added to boost the penetration of comfrey's bone and skin soothing properties. Essential oil of frankincense has also been added for addition pain relief.

To use: Apply to arthritic joints, irritated skin, cuts, and bruises. Do not use comfrey on deep cuts as it may cause them to heal too fast.

Ingredients: Comfrey infused organic olive oil, castor oil, beeswax, and essential oil of frankincense.

Welcome to Bert's Herbs. My interest in herbal remedies has turned into a mission, and I love learning, growing, and creating herbal products. God has given us amazing resources and my mission is to share God's healing gifts with you.

Bert's Herbs is named after our cat, Herbert. My husband and I adopted Bert (Herbert) when he was nearly 10 years old after losing our 18 year old friend, Scorpio. Due to sad circumstances, Herbert lost 2 owners, and was separated from another cat he was bonded to. With patience and time, Herbert learned to trust us, and ultimately the hole in each of our hearts was filled. I hope to honor Herbert and earn your trust by providing natural, quality products.

How it’s Made

My sister and I harvest our comfrey leaves throughout the summer and I air dry, dehydrate, or freeze dry them. Dried leaves are infused into oil in a sunny window, or if it's the end of warm, sunny days in Wisconsin, I will infuse the oil on low heat. Castor oil was added at the recommendation of my sister, and it truly does give a boost to comfrey's amazing properties.
